Products & Services
Keep a catalog of what you sell so line items fill themselves in.
Products & Services is your catalog. Set an item up once with its name, description, and price, and every quotation and invoice you build afterwards can pull it in rather than making you retype it.
Navigate to Sales → Products & Services.
The Product List

Adding a Product
Click New Product and set:
- Name — how it appears on your documents.
- Description — carried onto the line item.
- Price — the default rate.
- Cost — the cost of the item.
- Tags — searchable labels.
Click Create Product to add it to the catalog.
The Product Record
Click a product to open it. It is a side panel with stacked sections rather than tabs.
Economics — Price and Cost side by side, with the margin between them worked out for you. The margin is a reading, not a setting: you set price and cost, and margin follows.
Details — tags for grouping.
Name & Status — the product's name and whether it is Active or a Draft.
Using the Catalog on Documents
When you build a quotation or an invoice, picking a line item from the catalog fills in the name, description, and price. You then set the quantity and adjust tax or discount per line — the catalog supplies the defaults, not the final numbers.
This is the main reason to keep the catalog up to date: a corrected price in the catalog corrects every document you have not yet built.
Catalog changes do not reach documents you have already issued. A quotation or invoice already sent keeps the line items it was sent with — raise a credit note to correct those.
Deleting a Product
Deleting a product removes it from the catalog for good. Past quotations and invoices that used it keep their own copy of the line item, so your issued history is unaffected.
