Credit Notes
Issue credit notes to adjust or refund invoices.
Credit notes are used to partially or fully reverse an invoice — whether for a refund, pricing adjustment, or correction.
Creating a Credit Note
- Navigate to Sales > Credit Notes.
- Click New Credit Note.
- Fill in the details:
- Original Invoice — The invoice this credit note applies to.
- Customer — Auto-populated from the invoice.
- Line items — The items being credited, with quantities and amounts.
- Reason — A description of why the credit is being issued.
Applying Credit Notes
Once created, a credit note can be:
- Applied to an invoice — Reduces the outstanding balance on the related invoice.
- Refunded — Record a refund payment to the customer.
Credit Note Statuses

|---|---|
| Draft | Not yet finalized. |
| Issued | Finalized and applied. |
| Voided | Cancelled and no longer valid. |
