Reports
Receivables, sales, cash flow, profit and loss, and expenses.
Reports turns what you have recorded into answers. Navigate to Reports from the main sidebar.
Reports are for owners and admins.
What Reports Read
Reports are not a separate set of numbers — they are computed from your documents and your ledger. This is the single most useful thing to know about them:
- An invoice only reaches a report once it has been sent, because sending is what posts it.
- A bill only reaches a report once it has been approved.
- A payment reaches a report when you record it, not when the money moves.
If a report looks wrong, the cause is nearly always upstream — an invoice that was never sent, a bill that was never approved, or a payment that was never recorded.
The Reports
Seven reports are available in a standard workspace.
Aged Receivables
Who owes you, and for how long. Buckets by days past due: Current, 1–30 days, 31–60 days, 61–90 days, and 91+ days, with a total per customer. This is the report to work from when deciding who to chase.
Income by Customer
Which customers bring in the most revenue.
Sales
What you have invoiced, what has been collected, and your top customers.
Profit & Loss
Income minus expenses for the period — whether you are making money.
Cash Flow
Where your money came from and where it went over the period.
Forecast
What you have earned and what is expected to come in.
Expenses
What you have spent, grouped by category, and who you have paid.
Using a Report
Every report supports:
- Date ranges — presets such as this month or year to date, or a custom window.
- Export to CSV, JSON, or PDF. CSV and JSON carry the underlying figures for your own analysis; PDF is the formatted version, for sharing or filing.
Exports are stamped with the date they were generated.
Related
- Aged Receivables is the natural companion to payment reminders.
- Expenses reads from the categories you set on your bills — uncategorised spend is grouped together.
